KARACHI: A judicial magistrate in Karachi on Thursday ordered the inclusion of two siblings Ayaan and Anabiya, who were found after going missing from Karachi’s North Nazimabad area, and their maternal aunt’s names on the Exit Control List (ECL), ARY News reported. In its written order, the magistrate ruled that the minors’ aunt Farheen, aka Sonia, could not take the children outside the jurisdiction of the police station. The judicial magistrate central also handed over the custody of the two siblings Ayaan and Anabiya to their aunt. The siblings were presented before the court of the judicial magistrate central by the police in a case of custody filed by their father.   The investigating officer of the case said that Ayaan and Anabiya in their statements said their aunt and maternal grandmother used to beat them and that was the reason they left the house. Pakistan has advanced three steps in the global Human Development Index (HDI) rankings, securing the 161st position, according to the report. This is shows a slight decline from the previous index, when Pakistan was ranked 164th at the index last year with 0.540 points. Sri Lanka, ranked 78th, is the top in South Asia with 0.780 points, followed by Bangladesh at 129th with 0.670 points, while India is 134th with 0.644 points. Nepal is at 146th, and Afghanistan is at the bottom in the region at 182nd with 0.462 points, although it’s slightly above the 10 lowest. Somalia, ranked 193rd with 0.380 points, is last on the list, while Switzerland is number 1 with 0.967 points, followed by Norway with 0.966 points. KARACHI: Gold prices continue to decline in Pakistan in line with the international rate, ARY News reported. The yellow metal was priced at Rs228,300 per tola after shedding Rs1,800 during the day, according to rates shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). The 10-gram gold was sold at Rs195,730 after a decrease of Rs1,544. Meanwhile, silver rates remained stable at Rs2,600 per tola. Spot gold gained 0.7% to $2,172.41 per ounce, as of 12:43 p.m. EDT (1643 GMT). U.S. gold futures rose 0.6% to $2,178.00. ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Bahrain have called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and urgent provision of humanitarian assistance to the innocent Palestinians, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. The demand was raised during a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Commander of the National Guard of the Kingdom of Bahrain General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa in Islamabad today.
