Avengers’ actor Jeremy Renner joined the cast of Netflix’s Knives Out 3 in first movie role post his snowplow accident. KARACHI: Just hours after Guru Mandir firing incident, the police officials reportedly arrested three suspected from different locations in Karachi, ARY News reported on Thursday. As per the police spokesperson, the arrested suspects are close accomplice of the individuals directly involved in the firing incident, adding that all the three suspects were allegedly in contact with the culprits. Sindh Governor announces free breakfast for schoolchildren

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori on Wednesday announced a new initiative to provide free breakfast to schoolchildren across the province, ARY News reported. Addressing a ceremony in Karachi, the Governor announced the launch of the “Governor’s Initiative for Free Breakfast for Students”, which aims to provide free breakfast to children in government schools. According to Kamran Tessori, a survey revealed that many children in Sindh are unable to eat breakfast due to poverty and inflation, with some children not having milk for two years and others not eating eggs for six months. Tessori noted that just like 50,000 children are currently enrolled in the Governor’s House’s IT programme, and no schoolchildren will now go to school without breakfast. “The initiative will initially be launched in 100 government schools and will be expanded phase-wise,” he added. NEW DELHI: Temperatures in India’s capital soared to a record-high 49.9 degrees Celsius (121.8 Fahrenheit) on Tuesday, the government’s weather bureau said. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), which reported “severe heat-wave conditions”, recorded the temperatures at two Delhi suburbs stations at Narela and Mungeshpur. Forecasters predict similar temperatures on Wednesday. In May 2022, parts of Delhi hit 49.2 degrees Celsius (120.5 Fahrenheit), Indian media reported at the time. India is no stranger to searing summer temperatures. Years of scientific research have found climate change is causing heatwaves to become longer, more frequent and more intense. Saudia to host family members of Palestinian victims for Hajj

King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques passed directives to host 2,322 Hajj pilgrims including 1,000 family members of the martyrs, prisoners, and wounded Palestinians, local media reported. According to a kingdom media outlet, 22 family members of conjoined twins who were separated in the Kingdom will also be hosted by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. The other 1300 pilgrims are from 88 countries around the globe. The hosting is part of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit, which is being implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. The program has hosted over 60,000 pilgrims since it began 26 years ago. ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif is likely to visit China from June 4 to 7 to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and other high-ranking officials, ARY News reported. According to sources, the visit is aimed at boosting business and strategic ties between the two friendly countries. The prime minister is expected to discuss issues including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and phase II of the ML-1 project with the Chinese leadership. The sources said that federal ministers and other high-ranking officials will be accompanied by PM Shehbaz during the tour in which several agreements are expected to be signed.
