Hyderabad gas blast death toll rises to 23

KARACHI: Two more children succumbed to injuries on Wednesday as the death toll from a blast at a liquid petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder filling shop in Hyderabad’s Preetabad area rose to 23, ARY News reported. The deputy commissioner Hyderabad while confirming the deaths said that four-year-old Haram and 13-year-old Mahnoor were being treated at Karachi’s private hospital. He said that the two children breathe their last, taking the death toll to 23. The deputy commissioner Hyderabad said that 29 persons are still in critical condition and being treated. PPP’s Gilani opens up on joining federal cabinet

KARACHI: Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Monday that it was up to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to decide whether to join the Federal Cabinet. The party already had constitutional posts in the federation and provinces, he said while responding to media persons’ queries after a ceremony. The Senate chairman said that the PPP was known for taking mature decisions. It was the PPP which had restored the 1973 Constitution, besides abolishing the 58-2B clause, he added. Replying to a question, Yousuf Raza Gilani said that the future of political parties was linked to the people’s liking and disliking. To another question, he said that all the institutions should work within their constitutional limits. Salman Khan’s fan reaches his residence to marry him, gets detained

A woman was detained after she arrived outside Bollywood star Salman Khan’s Panvel farmhouse to meet and marry him. Indian media outlets reported that woman claiming to be a die-hard fan of the Wanted star was constantly heard saying that she wanted to marry the actor. While Khan was not at his residence as he is currently in Italy for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding bash, locals alerted the police who detained her outside the actor’s farmehouse. The incident came amid reports that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has planned another attack on Salman Khan, reportedly at his Panvel farmhouse. LAHORE: Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights Senator Azam Nazir Tarar has expressed his aspiration for judges from minority communities to join Pakistan’s higher judiciary. Speaking at the Justice A.R. Cornelius Conference, he emphasised the importance of religious freedom and minority rights in Pakistan. The event was organized by the Bright Future Society and Implementation Minority Rights Forum Pakistan. He highlighted that Pakistan’s Constitution guarantees complete religious freedom, aligning with Islamic teachings on the rights of minorities.
